Therapist, director, and speaker
I'm Amaliah, and I'm anxious, too.
I'm also a licensed therapist and director at a group therapy program.
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, accountability, and authenticity.”
Brené Brown

The personal details you're dying to know
I’ve been an anxious overachiever for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was the kid who couldn’t rest until every assignment was perfect and everyone above me—teachers, coaches, parents—was satisfied, even when it meant sacrificing my own downtime. I know what it feels like to carry the weight of responsibility, to try to “fix” everything and everyone around you, and still wonder if it’s ever enough.
Professionally, I’ve walked many paths before creating my private practice. I’ve worked in inpatient mental health programs, schools, community centers, substance abuse group programs, and now, directing a mental health group program—always focused on supporting people through real challenges, big and small.
Right now, I hold a senior leadership role at an adult mental health program, managing a team of interns, licensed therapists, and more. I oversee programs for young adults experiencing anxiety, providing mental health counseling, case management, and employment services. This experience gives me firsthand insight into the systems, pressures, and expectations that high-achieving women—and especially eldest daughters—navigate every day.
Now, in my private practice, I help women like you untangle the pressure to do it all, find space to breathe, and build strategies that support your growth without burning out. My approach blends clinical expertise with practical, real-world tools, so you can feel empowered, capable, and in control of your life—without losing yourself in the process.
Now, I have an Instagram following of a few hundred amazing humans—mostly fellow anxious overachievers and women who want to do better without burning out. I spend my days in client sessions, directing my team, and collaborating with other therapists, which I truly love…
…in between rewatching Jersey Shore, Yellowjackets, The Princess Diaries 2 (obviously), and other comfort movies while snuggling with my wife Stephanie on the couch.

Even though I love my job, it's not my entire personality.
I have hobbies, and you should, too!

I love reading romance books! If you've read any good books with romance and a little heat, send them my way.

I'm slightly obsessed with yoga and trying new styles of flow.
It makes moving my body feel like play, and not a chore.

I am a lover of houseplants... like, one of those people who have about a million house plants in their home.

In the past few years I've visited the Cape, New Hampshire, Salem, New York, and Puerto Rico! I also attended a beautiful wedding in the mountains.

Amaliah's not-so-street cred
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Becker College and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an Advanced Trauma-Informed Counseling concentration from Bay Path University (yes, I did it all while being my classic anxious overachiever self!).
I am trained in Somatic therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.
As a therapist, I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach—meaning I combine techniques depending on what you need in the moment. Everyone’s journey is unique, and your care should be too.
